Thought cannot hold this moment,
for this moment is not of time.
In this last entry of K’s Journal he puts it very clearly: “…this moment is not of time”. To consider his words we must go into the question of what time actually is. Can we consider time without reference to memory, the past? without projecting that impression from a past occurrence slightly modified into the future? To be in the present moment sounds so very simple and indeed, it is not a complex process. However, since our very world is made up of thoughts that arise from a fabric of past/future it is not an easy task. Continue reading
My wife Alia and I are helping her sister re-organize her house, painting the interior etc. I happened to discover a can of Turtle Wax that her sister got to polish her car. This reminded me of my own Turtle Wax experience a couple of years ago that I recorded in a post. Enjoy!
All of the wonderful spiritual teachings about living in the present moment finally come down to one thing: how do I live? As so often when I am delving more deeply into a certain aspect of Reality – sure enough – I find myself in a situation that gives me a real-time experience of that aspect. The last couple of weeks I have been noticing the repercussions of leaving the present moment in some very vivid ways. I posted my reflections on “Purpose” and how I notice that, in a certain sense, following a purpose tends to pull me out of the present moment. On the other hand, the mantra that came up for me while writing the post “ZEN: Purpose” has spontaneously arisen in my mind several time over the past week and has proven to be quite effective. The mantra is “I am my own purpose”. This brings me into a frequency of being enough just as I am and that no action or purpose or indeed anything at all is needed to fulfill or complete me.
I love this depiction of how we can paint our new world!
No “fight” against the old – just putting my energy into that which brings me joy
and living each moment to the fullest!
When I am really awake and present to this moment
I bring love into all I do and to every being I connect with.
Then the New World lights up!
“The businessless person does everything without leaving any mark. He lives in a joyful, relaxed way, achieving a lot without aiming for anything.”
“If we cultivate the spirit of aimlessness, we will be fresh and free, like the rose. But if the rose wishes to become a lotus, she will no longer be happy. A rose doesn’t need to become a lotus.”
One way to be spirit man/spirit woman is to open up the present moment. The present moment opens up to us and takes us into a different world when we allow the daily fluff to dissipate. The daily fluff consists of the myriad thoughts that make up the human conditioned thought-stream. There is a certain way of looking at this thought-stream without being immersed in it.

This book opened my eyes to the perfidious conditioning
that men are subjected to in almost all cultures in the world.
Every man on the planet should read this excellent book.
