A reader made me aware again of this and it is where I am today – come join me if you want.

We interface into this world out of nothing

Like a hand into the glove

We fit inside it like we were made for it

Made of it and we are but

We come from somewhere else

That is not this world Continue reading

My Discipline:

They say that when I put my attention on the world the Self gets obliterated.

Obliterate the world and put your attention on Self.

Putting inert objects into an inert object – we call it ‘eating’.

The mouth is a chewing machine – it leads to the swallowing apparatus.

From there the chemical factory (our digestion) takes over distributing all the building material into this grand edifice made of food – we call it ‘my body’.

Now it appears alive, a Frankenstein plugged into the Current, the alive beingness fed by the ocean of the Unseen. Continue reading

THE SUTRA OF PERFECT AWAKENING
FIFTY SECOND LECTURE
Wednesday September 27th, 1939

“O Obedient One! All sentient beings will prove that innately they possess the nature of this Perfect Awakening. When they meet a good teacher, according to his method of practice, they will approach to the state of causal Dharma. When they practice, some of them will realize the result suddenly and some will realize the result little by little. If they encounter the highest Bodhi of Buddha and the path of their practice, without regard to the capacity of their natures be they great or small, they will attain the state of Buddha-knowledge. Even though sentient beings seek the good friend, if they meet one who has an erroneous View — they cannot attain the true apprehension of Awakening. Such sentient beings are called ‘those who possess the seed of a heretical birth.’ The erroneous teachings of a wrong master are not the errors committed by the sentient beings themselves. They are the result of the five varieties of sentient nature.” Continue reading

Swami Krishnananda:

We have descended so low into the physical externality of our experience that the Atman, which is universal in its original status, has projected itself out of the senses and come out of the body, as it were; it is now looking back towards its own self as an object outside. It has completely lost itself in matter. To lose itself in matter is not so bad as to come out of it and then look upon it as an object of its own self. This is what the senses do. So in one sense we are far, far removed from reality, much more than even inorganic matter, because we have come out of the material body and then projected our consciousness backwards, as it were, looking to matter as an object of our own self.

Krishnamurti:

Look beyond the mountain; in that look are the nearby houses, the meadows, the shapely hills and the mountains themselves; when you drive a car, you look well ahead, three hundred yards or more; that look takes in the side roads, that car that is parked, the boy that is crossing and the lorry that’s coming towards you, but if you merely watched the car ahead of you, you would have an accident. The distant look includes the near but looking at what is near does not include the distant.
