“Aloneness is a life
in which all influence
comes to an end.”
Krishnamurti’s Notebook PDF p. 63
My Comment:
… a life in which all influence has come to an end… implies being aware of my entire conditioning from as far back as I can recall and also the influence of the ancients of all traditions. What is it like when the brain is completely still? What happens then? Am I able to look into that ’emptiness’ and not escape in any direction? This is the threshold into a space that is untouched by thought, and therefore it can never be reached at all by any of our mind’s effort. It comes upon one like a thief in the night… All I can do is be open to it and be aware of it… but then “I” am not there to even know it.
