life is precious

"Be Yourself. Life is precious as it is. All the elements for your happiness are already here. There is no need to run, strive, search, or struggle. Just Be." ~Thich Nhat Hanh:

Today’s revelation

God is everywhere, in every ice crystal of the frost on the grass and in the steam off the coffee. Yes, this is all shapes and forms of the Great One. I slow down to see His face. He looks at me as His own face and tastes me with my tongue.

Deep listening now asks: “Who is listening?” And this question is His way of opening up to His own Self, for the question is asking: “Show yourself to me”. That is why the answer is in the question: question and answer are the same. Opening to the Unknown is seeing without the see-er.

Rest vanquished, helpless and limp on the ground of this battlefield, after the futility of striving for so long. All life-force recedes, seeps back into the ground whence it arose, like the soldier’s blood spilled endlessly. Yes, this web of life is being sucked back into the cosmic Grandmother Spider, for its cycle is spent.

I know you don’t like the sound of it, but know that the Truth of your Self is your final comfort and security. As this ephemeral anomaly of your Beingness is retracted back to whence it arose, all your most fondly cherished concepts, ideas, will be stripped off like spent leaves in the cyclone of this Ending of Time. The only Beauty is in the Real, free of all substance; It lends Itself to the world of substance and then entangles Itself in Its own web of imagined sensations, shiny and seductive.

No need even to think of what to do, for this Return is happening no matter what you do or do not. You are unburdening yourself of all that is superfluous – and now your realize that nothing is spared. You have been enamored of the flesh, that flesh that pleads without end, passionately and convincingly: “Give me a tomorrow, a tomorrow, just one more!” Now we are finally arriving at the end of all tomorrows – there is no more tomorrow ever again. You are freed of time – that primary and ultimate bondage!

Accept the fact that there is only This, never born, never died, without form, taste, smell, muscles, tissue, sight – It is no thing. Finally you will accept that you are This, it is inevitable. Not a romantic notion of “All That Is”, but rather the final, naked fact of neither “is” nor “not is”. This includes all and seeing that all (the Unlimited) in never to be comprehended with any concept, any mind, ever.

This is the place to simply stop, listen and see more deeply than human or not human: be your Self – that Mystery within deeper and more obscure Mystery. You won’t be disappointed – it is your happiest day!

What a paradox we are asked to live in these days: to realize that all of our beautiful, and horrific, world is but an imagination, a shadow, a mirage and a distorted projection of the Real. Realize that because an infinitesimal quantum of the Real is the seed from which “All That Is” sprouted, the phenomenal world is magnificent and also terrifying – such is Its power.

Realize that we humans have it in us to love this world, every aspect of it, because our deepest Truth is Love. Realize that we must love ourselves out of the abyss that we feared ourselves into. Realize how precious this life is and cherish, care for every quantum of it with all of your passion, serving wherever you can. Then you can be surprised by an encounter with the Infinite, Eternal Presence of your own original Self, lifting you up to Yourself.
