When we have our body and mind in order, everything else will exist in the right place, in the right way.

In the chapter on Posture by Shunryu Suzuki in his book Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind there are many jewels, food for contemplation. Here are some that stand out for me today. Below is the full text of this chapter.

“When we have our body and mind in order, everything else will exist in the right place, in the right way. … When you do things in the right way, at the right time, everything else will be organized. You are the “boss.” When the boss is sleeping, everyone is sleeping. When the boss does something right, everyone will do everything right, and at the right time.
